Hello Peoples,
AesSedai here, found this place through mmorpg.com and is one of the few games that have ever caught my interest without having a lot of info about it beforehand. It would be pretty cool to get in at the ground level of a developing community.
Playing Guild Wars (2 1/2+ years)
Played WoW (1 week)
Played DDO (2 months)
I look forward to getting more info on this game and hope it can deliver on a lot of its expected game play.

Retired WoW player. 2-years was about all I could take. I have been looking for a replacement game since. The list of games I've played is quit extensive. Currently playing a few popular titles but can't see me going past the 30-day mark on any of them.
Not many titles getting my undivided attention other than the Chronicles of Spellborn and this game.

Lineage: 1 month
Asheron's Call II: 20 days (terrible game, nice concept though)
Vanguard: 1 month
SWG: 3 months
DAoC: 5 & 1/2 years
EVE Online: 2 months
Ended with DAoC, and now I'm back to WoW, wanted to check it back out for the first time in two years.
So I guess that's where I'm migrating from, that was the question, right?
In any case, I am interested in the proposed gameplay aspects, and hopefully some beta testing! I like the concept of the "Controlled" PvP.
I'm a big Sci-Fi buff too, so I like the art design so far as well.

i actually was introduced to MMOs through runescape back around 2000, i have played Vanguard, auto assault, ryzom, RF online, D & D online, FFXI, UO, Dark and Light, and i currently play WoW
i am most looking forward to short leveling and a lot of freedom, i dont like linear aspects to MMOs, so i hope to do a little of everything ;D

I'm vuru and I'm from Ohio, US.
I've played all of the recent mmos, like WoW/EQ2/CoH/Vanguard/Horizons/EVE/Ryzom, etc, but I really can't say I liked any of them enough to spend more than 2 months on them. Most I only played for a couple of weeks, because I don't have 15 bucks a month to throw at a game that isn't very fun. Nothing really seems to have what I'm looking for as of yet. So I hope WELL does!
I'm looking forward to the sci-fi/fantasy hybrid world, where I can drink and hang around, roleplay, and instead of grind, level up quickly and get on with the real content. I LOVE the races in this game. I always play non-human characters so I figure I'll have a ball in WELL with all of the original races and the refreshing classless system. The graphics are very nice as well, I like what I've seen so far.
I can't wait for the international community to grow large enough that we attract some more attention from the developers, I really feel like this might be the game for me.

I'm only visiting there cos I'm a Star Wars fan. Game is so laggy, even with all the settings turned down. Now it has no atmosphere for me.  That's what I loved about Ryzom... played extremely well on very modest hardware! I really hope WELL doesn't require me to buy a dual processor, dual video card and a terrabyte hard disk!! Water cooling as well maybe?? I just want in now, I wanna be in at the start, I wanna explore and craft and be part of the crowd that will make the community here an awesome place to play!!  Please tell me where and when I can download the international beta!?!?!? Looking forward with bated breath! Love you all long time! Miss

Hello folks. An American living in Japan, here.  Played A Tale in the Desert, Vanguard, Matrix Online, and Ryzom. Never got too far in any of them (seemed to burn out quickly...except for Ryzom, which I just joined late so am suffering through the "what's going on now" time). Saw a couple of posts about this game in various forums. I like the idea of a sandbox game like Ryzom. I also like the idea of getting in on the ground floor, so to speak, with a game like WELL. It looks really cool. See y'all around. |

holy magic amplifiers Batman!! Is anyone here NOT from Ryzom?? Loving the look of this game so far - only just found out there is actually an english section. Can't wait to see inside the game, though if Ryzom does survive its current turmoil ... who knows? Hello my Ryzom friends, and perhaps some new friends... I'm not a gamer, or wasn't until I met Ryzom. Still my one and only game - but current events lead me to look for options. So I'm a total noob about games in general. You can safely ignore any opinions I might have.  Nonetheless, this game seems to be heading in a direction I like. I'm eager to try it out. I haven't found what I want anywhere else... I just registered, so I don't have a sig yet. I'll do that later. Hi All, sorry I'm late, but I've been hoping for a miracle. I hail from the UK and have been playing Saga of Ryzom since october 2006. Now it looks like I and my fellow Atysians need to find a new home, and this looks like a great place to try. Hey All. Trixie from Ryzom here, you know, the cute little Tryker with the BIG melons. I’m looking for a new game home as well. I left Ryzom when GF took it over and haven't found any game that can take its place. I was waiting for AOC but they sort of killed my expectations with their last modifications. WELL looks very interesting and I love that it is a sci-fy/fantasy theme like Ryzom and offers the sand box and RP freedom that I loved in Ryzom. I look forward to mixing up with the Ryzom community again and others in this new world.

Hmm Wow this sounds like an Ex-Ryzom player thread lol! I'm happy to also contribute as well! I played Ryzom for over a year!
My main toon was named Znatahara and I was a HO in Phadrea's Tears!!! it's good to see all of you again.
After I left Ryzom I drifted through a few MMOs namely Metin2 still play occasionally, Tabula Rasa playing currently, tried Rapplez, 9 Dragons, and a few others!

Well I hope W.E.L.L. is a new home for me! Also have any of you heard of a game called Earthrise? That one looks promising as well another skill based game!! It reminds me a lot of SWG Pre-CU! I need to do some reading up on W.E.L.L. too, but from what I have read and seeing all of my old Ryzom buds here it soulds like this is going to be a good game as well! |

Hi, everyone. I seriously doubt anyone here would remember my Ryzom character, well, my main one at any rate, but she was a Fyros gal named Kitiara. I played for a good while, managed to get her Desert Foraging in the 200s, with fighting skills in the 170s or so. I'm currently playing EVE Online, but I got my start with DAoC and have played a few others, like AO, 9Dragons, EQ While I am currently playing EVE, I was trying to get back to Ryzom, but seeing the troubles they're feeling, Kitiara may never breathe the Fyros airs again  From what I've seen, this game looks quite promising, from the game mechanics part. Haven't checked out the lore yet, but I will as soon as I can. I have only one question: When is this game coming out??? I wanna pway! [edit] Oh, I forgot, I'm in the US *hehehe* |
