Here goes
Q: In player organizations, can players set the rules of the organization the same as NPC ones? E.g. murder is ok for an assassin's guild. If so, are there safeguards to stop people making a group that can break every law without committing a crime?
A: Before first characters reach a level, which would let them found their own organization of this or that profile, our players will be provided with quite a broad spectrum of base quests (be it generated or non-generated by users, involving players into interaction with each other or based on the interaction with the surrounding world, etc.). But as soon as you get the right to found your own organization, you will not only be able to set your own rules within it and influence the behavior of subordinate NPC, but at some point will get access to the “quest constructor”. We think that such approach makes the game more interesting, properly thrilling.
As to your concerns over the outrage, created by private illegal organizations, it will not take place for at least two reasons. Firstly, distribution and implementation of standard quests comply with strict game-mechanical rules. Secondly, the world of W.E.L.L. has laws and police who are accountable for peace keeping and unjustly offended players.
A quick example. An order to assassinate a specific character initiated by someone is simultaneously received by all private organizations of contract killers. However, the reward is received by an organization, whose player is the first one to overtake the target. Any actions against the character, who was ordered to be assassinated, outside this organized quest are considered illegal and are punishable in accordance with the gaming world’s rules.
Q: Are there any minor organizations that you can help but not join?
A: This will not be possible in the beginning, but we have some interesting ideas about it.
Q: Are there any plans to show your high rank within an organization to the whole world on the website?
A: If you personally or your guild achieve considerable success, then obviously it will be reflected at the game’s site on one of the top-lists! There will be more than enough ways to leave your mark on the ‘scrolls of history’ of the W.E.L.L. world. Moreover, users will be able to enter our resources using their game logins, which means enjoying their well-deserved authority from the game in blogs and forums as well.
Q: Can guilds/orgs design their own symbol/tabard/coat of arms?
A: Ability to create your guild’s insignia of distinction shows the status of the guild and success of its members. Guilds that have reached a certain level of development will be allowed to register their honorable distinctions and put them on various gaming objects.
Q: Will there be a live events team that will run in and out of game stories?
A: Definitely, and this option was considered by us from the very beginning stage of developing this game.
Q: Will there be small festival events/quests that are only available at certain times of the year and give unique rewards?
A: We will not miss an opportunity to celebrate something in the W.E.L.L. world, thus adding fun to the players’ lives.
Q:Can you explain more about the arena? Will there be regular tournaments, gambling or a league table/ladder on the website?
A: Tournaments, competitions and even gambling will be present in W.E.L.L. online.
Q: How will combat work is it twitch based or traditional type combat?
A: Using special skills will be greatly affecting outcome of battles. It is all like in real life: the more knowledge and skills a person has, the more often he uses them at a right place and time, the more results he achieves. Not least of all this is what successes of each one of us is based upon both in real life and in the game.
Q: How detailed is Character Customizations will I be able to create a totally unique avatar??
A: At the moment our game has a very detailed system of character customization. Way too detailed, as testing shows. We will possibly give up some elements, but anyhow the set of functions will be over and above to create truly unique avatars.
Q:How is the camera controlled? Right click and drag to look around or something else? Is the game played in a first person or third person view?
A: Mouse movement with a right button pressed controls the sight of a character and is responsible for the movement of the character himself, while left button controls camera movement around the character. And, of course, 1st person and 3rd person gaming modes are available and are easily interchangeable.
Q:Will the open beta have international subscriptions? How many international servers will there be and where will they be located?
A: The open beta-testing will be available not only to Russian, but foreign players as well. The physical location of the servers depends on the results of the talks with our partners in Europe, USA and Korea.
Q:Will the ecosystems be dynamic? Or static mobs will be allocated to certain areas?
A: Different animals in the W.E.L.L. world have their own areas of habitat, inside which mobs are fighting for their place in the sun. These are full-fledged ecosystems where things are humming.
Q:Will there be any possibility of crafting by yourself (apart from alchemy) or just through organizations? What will craft in organizations be like?
What special abilities will tenqui have? Is there anything else we could learn about them?
What kind of spells will Wild magic consists of? What kind of effects will they provide?
A: The implemented system of craft, race distinctions of Tenqui and spells of Wild magic – these are not the only original features of W.E.L.L. online, detailed information on which is being purposely concealed at the moment. We are almost certain we will be able to surprise you Wink
