Today I have exchanged a couple e-mails with the PR manager of Sibilant Ltd - the Developers of Wellonline
He told me this:
They plan to open international servers in early 2008. Russian servers will be opened prior to that.

if it comes on time. Game development is such a thing... you never know how much time would it take.
By the way. International servers will be online later than russian, because Closed and Open Beta will be ONLY in russia. When well will release, IMO, there will be 1-2 months 'till international start.

Yes, that's true. I have sent another letter to their PR manager asking whether it would be possible to relocate a character or even a guild from one server to the other when the international one comes...
Let's see what he answers (tomorrow)

Lol ok sure Gudzon here is a russian fella aswell and i see Kimm poking his nose in - he's another Russian so all converstaions usuaklly start with: Privet, kak dela? Hi - how's it going? the answer is: Vse putem - all's fine And then you can try going for more complicated phrases

I couldn't even learn semi-fluent Spanish after three years of it in high school, nor any Greek even though I was sent to Greek school when I was younger just to learn the basics, so I'm sure Russian would kick my butt royally now that I'm almost 20. Thus, I'll have to wait for the international servers.

by the way, I played WoW on warsong EU and later stonemaul. So there are some english speaking members in the guild. Most needed things in Ventrilo we translated to english but... after a year or something like that some of our oldest english-speaking members began to understand what RL is talking about iven in Russian. Ant they even understand Russian jokes, So it's the practice problem, that's all. If you would talk to russians 2-3 hours a day (raid) - you'll learn Russian, and any other language you can learn the same way...
F.e. Anime fans begin to understand 10% of the word after 1-2 months, and 30% after a year, not even trying to do so - our memory's just work so.

goodbye - "Do Svedaniya" (it's more like "see you soon", but we say so) or just "poka" if you talk to a friend. But in chat's we also use just "bb" - we steel it from englih Good Night - "Spokoinoy Nochi"

One thing that worries me is why Devs haven't annunced WELL at www.mmorpg.com - I know Russia is big country but still Komi is doing their most marketing job for western EU and USA ;D

ciridemarr, their marketing policy pretty wierd. Even in russia only 1 month ago we saw 1st ingame video, and closed beta already running! They do not talk about the game much, there is no PR-actions (banners on 1-2 forums and posters in 2 game magazines - that's all). So I'ts not only about europe.

Gudzon, your site is great and your effort translating things is fantastic but a lot of people are registered here now and I didn't even notice the ad Both links should be provided and other sites should be asked for permission before info is copied here. It's ok just to provide a link and add the extra info, admin. Let's try and keep a good relationship between both sites

One thing that worries me is why Devs haven't annunced WELL at www.mmorpg.com - I know Russia is big country but still Komi is doing their most marketing job for western EU and USA ;D Depends on point of view. Sibilant AT THIS TIME even don't try to do some marketing! In the closed beta, they invited only ten people. All of them must sign to not give any information out of the game. (the 2 girls in the video blogs signed too, but are not in closed beta). Sibilant sait, that they dont plan to visit any game related exhibition or event in near future. Only when they think the game is "ready" for publicity, they want to make own event - W.E.L.L exclusive. I'm also not a fan of this ...strategy. Nut wanted to say, that its not a "bad made publicity"... its some kind of strategy not to show "too much". And, for russian "products" it is not easy on the western market. Still too many think "russian = bad". So in europe / usa they even dont try to make some marketing now, becouse there is no partner who has signed a contract right now. Many preblems, just becouse it is a russian product But this game seem to have most "international" partners. compared to other russian mmos. maybe ...it's a good sign not only for Sibilant, but for international fans / customers
