First let's talk about clothes.
WELL online will show a "modern' version of a technomagic worl hence the clothes will be pretty modern aswell. Practical, versatile and above all - cool. That is the main concept for avatar clothing.
W.E.L.L. FASHION
Clothing from "Massive black"
American Massive Black Inc. is one of the leading developers in conceptual design, 3D-modeling and animation in the entertainment industry. The studio has collaborated with the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, Bethesda, Sony, etc. Massive Black has also contributed to one of the latest renowned projects of the entertainment industry - Michael Bay's movie Transformers.
In WELL online they are creating avatar clothing and some city architecture (certain areas).
Here are a few shots at what they have come up with so far:
Vladymir Atykov - Sibilant 3d Modeller has created these poly models based on the concept art from Massive Black:

apart from Massive Black designs there will also be "Special" clothing from IRL fashion designers that wish to popularise their work in an online world.
One of them - a Russian fashion designer Denis Simachev has already signed up a contract with Sibilant. Here's a couple of his own models
Surprisingly enough the article about his cooperation with Sibilant states that he is going to "earn quite a bit as a result of thiscooperation". So it is quite possible that some of his models will be sold ingame for IRL cash...
However so far the latter is nothing more than a rumor.
W.E.L.L. ARMOR
WELL online presents a new type of avatar armor - the Bio armor.
Vitaly Bulgarov - is the one responsible for creation and implementation of this new armor concept.

As Mr. Bulgarov states in his interview "Bio" in the name of this armor is not a reference to the materials it has been made from but rather the look - the feeling that you get at a first glance - Th smooth shapes, the twisted curves and the way this armor suit "fits" any avatar.
The world off WELL online where magic and technology exist symbiotically in a modern environment has been the main source of inspiration for this armor. Simplicity and functionality won' matter any more, Bulgarov says, what we are going for is the beauty, the mystical unearthly appearance and the sheer "coolness" of design. The armor itself will have many small elements interchangeable and customizable for every avatr aswell.
First rough scetches and ideas were supplied by Sibilant designer Dmitry Parkin (The one who created the Arraun race). But then they were carried on and developed onto a atotally new stage.

Now that the guide-book is being filled with more and more designs we come to understand that this is an absolutely new and unique style in MMORPGS, continues Mr.Bulgarov. The main characteristic features of this tyle are smooth spiral lines. s-shaped curves and contours mimicking the avatar's anatomy. A multitude of tiny connecting details and additional elements will also be present in the design.
Interestingly enough none of these models are polygonal - they were all created with Zbrush as monolith sculpture-like models. No concept arts were created either since the designer and the modeller were united in a single body of Vitaly Bulgarov.

So far this style is stored in 300gigs of hard drive space and only the "breastplate" has reached it's final stage. Rest of it is being reworked and adopted to the "perfection" of the unique techno-magic next generation world that is WELL online.
And for the dessert - here's some exclusive video of avatar models with changeable armor pieces.
