Quests
Players in W.E.L.L. online will encounter various types of quests which will allow the character to develop in all areas of gameplay. In particular there wil be organizational, entourage, training and theme quests. Individual quests can be intertwined among themselves, and their fulfillment will influence bothe the character, and the game world in various ways.
Professionsl (Organisational) Quests
One of distinctive features W.E.L.L. online has is organizational gameplay. Its content will depends on the field of activity chosen by the player in the world of W.E.L.L. In such situation organizational quests become original guides in the world of the organizations and help the character to develop in the chosen profession. These are unique quests which only the member of a certain organization can receive.
Each organization in game comes with its own unique environment: for one it can be police stations and sentry towers, and for others - offices, bars, brothels, luxury shops. Nevertheless, there are common features in the structure of all organizations which help the player to better adapt to the gameplay. So, a very important role in professional promotion in each field is played by organizational NPC - recruiters, tutors, secretaries, quest givers. Placement of NPCs is unique for each organization, but also follows some general rules. For example, recruiters can not be found in popular, frequently visited places. With the exception of recruiters of illegal organizations: it is necessary to look for them, or they will find you on their own.
The starte quests for any profession begin with a conversation with the recruiter and a general introduction into the organization. Introduction (this process corresponds to the organization’s entourage and has own attributes) results in receiving organizational knowledge (skill) and, probably, the first aplliacable abilities.
Recruiters can figure in various organizational quests, but their main mission is to lure undecided players into their organization and to pass them on to tutors. Tutor’s tasks include training the character's professional skills. From him it is possible to learn not only about secrets of trade but also to receive the unique information on, how to progress within a plot . Tutors direct players further and further on a chain of quests.
Quest givers are ordinary or managing employees of the organizations - foremen, dealers, agents etc.
Some issues in the organization are solved through secretaries. For example, dismissal, appointment for offline-work, receiving help information, new equipment etc.
Thus, in each organization following the chain of quests, successfully carrying them out, the character develops his own professional career. As a result the player not only progresses in professional skills but also independently creates a personal «professional background ». It can be «the path of a policeman » or « a thief's way», but for each player it will be his own fascinating story, where encountered dangers and new found interests will 100 % depend on the chosen profession.
