When a player dies he can be looted by another player (fully or partially depending on how "civilized" the zone is) but the items taken from the corpse will become "hot" and will be seen to every police force representative making the looter a "thief" = fair game for police, bounty hunters and even members of the same guild as the dead guy.

Actually there are no objects in the Ghost world, but sometimes conglomerations of energy may take intricate shapes and acquire special qualities that may be useful to the ghosts of the "living" characters. The living make up the shapes of these objects after the image of objects they know. The energy of such objects is wasted soon and they disintegrate - disappear. But as long as they are in possession of a ghost they are kept together by his will.
There are objects that have a counterpart (shadow) in the ghost world. Such objects exist in the ghost world so far their real counterpart exists in the real world. One can meet ghosts of other characters or NPCs in the Ghost world one. The latter may be either peaceful or aggressive.

From outside the portal looks like a shimmering funnel, facing the ghost of the dead with its wider part. The portal moves closer and closer to the character and when it reaches him, the ghost passes to the world of the living.
The player needn't to wait until the funnel reaches him. If he doesn't want his character to stay in the Ghost world he may speed up the process of resurrection. Staying in the Ghost world demands certain energy, depending on the mass of character's personality (development level). Spending or recovering of energy makes the portal come closer or remove from the ghost. As soon as the powers of the ghost are exhausted, the portal comes close and swallows him, the character resurrects in a well.
In the Ghost world the player can move freely, interact with other ghost characters and NPCs, and acquire objects in various ways (quests, change, looting NPCs etc.) Players, whose characters stay in the ghost world can freely communicate with each other as well as with the characters in the world of the living using a group or a clan chat channel or using a personal channel, provided the characters they intend to contact are affected the way they can understand ghosts. Still every action has its price in the Ghost world.

Progenitors of sapient beings had to fight all possible kinds of living creatures for larger springs, which were necessary to secure them a safe space for living. However strong the wild nature was it couldn't resist armed fighters for ever. After a while it had to draw back to smaller springs, far away from the young civilization.
Life of the first tribes became settled and regular, population grew constantly, and after some time territories around springs got overcrowded. Some of the settlers set off then to search for other springs of life-giving water and for a better life. Towns and villages of different nations expended all over the planet. Great cities were built around the largest springs that were to become capitals of the future states. So ranges of different animals were shared out in the W.E.L.L. world.

For this reason each state made an independent decision to cover all resurrection springs with stone and pipe the life-giving water through a special canal system. The development of science and comprehensive studies of resurrection laws enabled the Churches to influence some processes of resurrecting. Now the clergy could effect the regaining of property by the fallen as well as control the flows of the resurrected.

Some citizens disappeared indeed, but after a while they could turn up again all of sudden, without having any idea where they had been.
